The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's State Liaison Committee has re-elected Charles G. Cooper as its chair for a one-year term running from May 1 to April 30 of the following year. The move keeps Cooper, the Commissioner of the Texas Department of Banking, in charge of the committee that represents state supervisory agencies within the FFIEC. He has served on the State Liaison Committee and as its chair since 2023. The chair may be re-elected for additional terms. The five-member State Liaison Committee is composed of representatives of state banking and credit union agencies designated by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, the American Council of State Savings Supervisors, the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors and the FFIEC, and the committee's chair is one of the FFIEC's six voting members.
