The Hong Kong Monetary Authority released Hong Kong’s latest foreign currency reserve assets figures, reporting official reserves of USD 413.1 billion at end-March 2025, down from USD 416.4 billion at end-February 2025. Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, reserves stood at USD 412.5 billion (end-February 2025: USD 415.9 billion). The official total represents over five times the currency in circulation and about 37% of Hong Kong dollar M3. The April 2025 schedule for Exchange Fund data releases includes the Analytical Accounts of the Exchange Fund on 14 April, and both the SDDS Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity and the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account on 30 April.
