Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission has promulgated the 2027 banking industry holiday schedule under Article 51 of the Banking Act, setting the days on which banks will be closed. The schedule includes a seven-day Lunar New Year break from Feb. 4 to Feb. 10, with compensatory days on Feb. 9 and Feb. 10 because Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 fall on a weekend. Other scheduled closures are Jan. 1, March 1 for Peace Memorial Day, April 4 to April 6 for Children's Day and Tomb Sweeping Day, April 30 for Labor Day, June 9 for the Dragon Boat Festival, Sept. 15 for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sept. 28 for Confucius' Birthday and Teachers' Day, Oct. 11 for National Day, Oct. 25 for Taiwan Retrocession Day and the Memorial Day of Great Victory at Kuningtou Kinmen, Dec. 24 for Constitution Day, and Dec. 31 as the compensatory day for Jan. 1, 2028, which falls on a Saturday.
