The Financial Action Task Force of Latin America (GAFILAT) reported on a webinar on “Financial Inclusion and AML/CFT Policies” held on 27 May 2025, bringing together more than 100 public- and private-sector delegates from GAFILAT member countries to exchange experiences and discuss implementation challenges. The session, organised with support from the Royal United Services Institute’s Centre for Finance and Security and with prominent participation from the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), focused on how risk-based approaches can expand access to secure, regulated and affordable financial services without undermining the integrity of AML/CFT systems. GAFILAT linked the event to a priority workstream under its presidency’s action plan.
