The Bank of Finland announced that Professor Antti Ripatti has been selected as Adviser to the Parliamentary Supervisory Council, with a remit to support the Council’s work on monetary and economic policy matters. The selection decision was made at the Parliamentary Supervisory Council’s meeting on 26 August 2025. Ripatti holds a Doctor of Social Sciences degree, with doctoral research focused on money demand in inflation-targeting monetary policy, and at the University of Helsinki he is responsible for macroeconomic research and economics teaching. The adviser role is part-time and fixed-term, running until spring 2027 when the current Parliamentary Supervisory Council’s term ends.
