The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its president, Roberto E. Silva, spoke at the Merge São Paulo crypto and Web3 conference, focusing on Latin American regulatory convergence and Argentina’s framework for Virtual Asset Service Providers (PSAVs) and its tokenization regime. Silva presented on a panel alongside the head of El Salvador’s National Commission of Digital Assets and the head of the Innovation Office at the Central Bank of Uruguay. He reviewed Argentina’s path toward capital markets modernisation, including the issuance and implementation of a new regulatory framework intended to provide predictability, security and transparency while supporting new investment opportunities. Silva also participated in a closed-door Private Regulatory Roundtable organised by DARTE (Digital Assets Roundtable Expert Series), bringing together regulators, financial institutions and industry participants.
