The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has published a summary report of its Brussels conference on the Draft Simplified European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), synthesising the key points presented and discussed in relation to the simplified ESRS delivered to the European Commission. The conference programme covered changes to the cross-cutting standards ESRS 1 and ESRS 2, introduced by EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group Chair Chiara Del Prete and further presented by members of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board, and revisions to the topical standards across environmental, social and governance areas, introduced by Pedro Faria, Gemma Sanchez Danes and Abi Levrau. The event also launched the ESRS Knowledge Hub, described as a platform consolidating ESRS-related materials including the interactive 2023 ESRS and the VSME, and featured keynote speeches by EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board Chair Patrick de Cambourg and European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union Maria Luís Albuquerque.
