Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) issued an alert that fraudsters are impersonating MEX-FACTOR, S.A. de C.V. SOFOM E.N.R. by using unauthorised websites and a mobile application to offer supposed credit services intended to deceive and financially harm users. CONDUSEF reported that a website and an app available on Google Play posing as the firm were detected in mid-December 2025 and were using its name, telephone number and address. It urged users to verify the authenticity of financial institutions before making any application or payment, including confirming registration and matching details in the SIPRES registry, and to contact the institution through official channels or seek guidance from CONDUSEF if in doubt.
