The Jordan Securities Commission has amended its Principles of Dealing with Dormant Accounts for Broker Financial Clients by revising Article 3, updating when a client account is treated as stagnant and how the relevant period is calculated. The Board of Commissioners approved the changes on 13 August 2025 and set them to apply from 1 September 2025. Under the amended Article 3, a client account is considered stagnant if three years have passed since the last transaction, except where the client’s data have been updated in the Center’s database before the end of that period in accordance with the Center’s mechanism and procedures. The three-year period is to be calculated starting from the effective date of the principles.
