The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (TTSEC) announced its participation in Global Money Week 2025, running activities from March 17 to 23 under the theme “Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow” to promote financial literacy and investor education. The programme highlighted challenges for young people in assessing financial advice amid the growth of digital finance, financial influencers and the use of artificial intelligence in financial decision-making. Initiatives included a social media campaign on identifying reputable financial sources, seeking verified advice and interpreting financial information, alongside TTSEC’s second Investor Education Community Outreach Roadshow in Sangre Grande and a National Secondary Schools Investing Competition aligned with Global Money Week. TTSEC also took part in a Financial Education Exposition organised by the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, as part of the wider Global Money Week campaign coordinated through the OECD International Network on Financial Education.
