The Egmont Group, represented by Executive Secretary Jerome Beaumont, participated in the 2026 OECD Global Anti‑Corruption and Integrity Forum in Paris, using the event to highlight the role of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) in advancing anti‑corruption and integrity efforts and to showcase the Egmont Group’s related work. The Egmont Group pointed to its publications on investigating laundering of the proceeds of corruption (2019), asset recovery and the role of FIUs alongside a casebook (2022), and the second phase of its work on increasing FIU effectiveness in the asset recovery process (2025). Alongside multilateral engagement, Beaumont held bilateral meetings including with OECD Secretary‑General Mathias Cormann, emphasising the need for adequate FIU resources and operational independence and exploring ways to strengthen Egmont Group–OECD collaboration in line with the Egmont Group Strategic Plan, and met with counterparts including FATF President Elisa de Anda, FATF Executive Secretary Violaine Clerc, TRACFIN leadership, and France’s Asset Recovery Agency (AGRASC).
