The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) released analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of August 2025, published in the International Monetary Fund’s Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity under the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). The release also set out the HKMA’s monthly publication cycle for Exchange Fund data, comprising four press releases. Three are issued to disseminate monetary data in accordance with the IMF’s SDDS, and a fourth covers the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account in line with the HKMA’s transparency policy. For September 2025, the schedule listed SDDS International Reserves on 5 September (issued), SDDS Analytical Accounts of the Central Bank on 12 September (issued), the SDDS template on international reserves and foreign currency liquidity on 30 September, and the Exchange Fund abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account on 30 September.
