The Jordan Securities Commission said it held its second virtual training workshop, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation and with experts from the International Sustainability Standards Board, for representatives of the 20 companies in the Amman Stock Exchange index and other public shareholding companies to explain the requirements of the planned environmental, social and governance code of practice and standards S1 and S2, support readiness for the code’s launch, and clarify the role of regulators and listed companies in applying international disclosure standards for sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities.
