The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) announced it is taking part in a working session convened by the Ministry of Health with media editors to discuss the implementation of Universal Health Insurance and the media’s role in public education on the national programme. The meeting is being held at Karimjee Hall in Dar es Salaam and is chaired by the Minister of Health, Mohamed Omary Mchengerwa. TIRA’s delegation includes the Commissioner of Insurance and representatives from the Universal Health Insurance Directorate, the Tanzania Insurance Ombudsman (TIO), the Legal Directorate, the Eastern Zone Office, the Public Relations and Communications Unit, alongside other institutions involved in delivering and overseeing health insurance services.
