European Central Bank Banking Supervision has published an updated second volume of its digital compilation of European Union legal acts governing banking supervision. The reference work consolidates acts covering the separation of monetary policy and supervision, accountability, prudential options and discretions, cooperation within the Single Supervisory Mechanism, reporting, delegated decision-making, supervisory fees and sanctions. Compared with the previous edition from December 2023, the compilation incorporates more recent measures, including the supervisory approach to non-performing exposure coverage at less significant institutions and the 2026 framework for delegated decisions on mergers, divisions and acquisitions of material holdings. The publication is a documentation tool without legal effect and is not a comprehensive collection of all European Union law applicable to the European Central Bank's supervisory activities.
