The Central Bank of Sint Maarten & Curacao announced that the digital payment system in Curaçao and Sint Maarten successfully transitioned to the Caribbean guilder overnight from March 31 to April 1 2025. With the new currency introduced to circulation on April 1, it is now fully available for digital transactions under the currency code XCG. All commercial banks have been reconnected to the payment systems following the switch.
