The Andorran Financial Authority announced that the Andorran Deposit Guarantee Fund (FAGADI) has become a member of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), a European-level association of deposit guarantee funds and investment guarantee schemes. EFDI, a non-profit association created in 2002, focuses on safeguarding financial stability and promoting cooperation among guarantee funds in Europe. It supports members through knowledge sharing and participates in the improvement of legislation on European deposit guarantee funds; the forum currently comprises 70 members from 49 European jurisdictions, including 55 deposit guarantee schemes and 15 investment guarantee schemes.
