The Montenegro Capital Market Authority announced that its president, Željko Drinčić, took part in ESMA’s international conference in Paris, A New Era for EU Capital Markets. The event brought together European regulators, international financial institutions, exchange groups, investment platforms and banks to discuss the future of European capital markets and ongoing reforms aimed at building a single European financial market. Discussions focused on deeper capital market integration, changes to the regulatory and supervisory framework, market infrastructure, digitalisation of financial services, and investor confidence and protection. Speakers and participants included representatives of the European Commission, Deutsche Börse AG, London Stock Exchange Group, Euroclear, Nasdaq, Barclays Europe and Moody’s. The authority presented its participation as part of Montenegro’s European integration process and its continued alignment of the domestic regulatory and institutional framework with European capital market standards and practices.
