Mexico’s National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users has opened the 19th National Financial Education Week, offering free activities, conferences and tools to help people manage money, save, anticipate risks and make better financial decisions. The in-person program at the Monument to the Revolution runs through Oct. 18, while a digital version will remain available through March 31, 2027. Under the theme “What financial movie do you tell yourself?”, the program encourages participants to examine their relationship with money and how their decisions shape their future. Deputy Finance and Public Credit Secretary María del Carmen Bonilla noted that 37% of adults experience high financial stress. Commission President Oscar Rosado Jiménez emphasized that personal financial well-being depends not only on income but also on how money is used to support greater security and autonomy.
