The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario has initiated enforcement action against Happy Future Centre (HFC) and Nataly Belinska by issuing a notice of proposal alleging an unfair or deceptive act or practice in relation to charging for goods and services not provided. FSRA alleges the conduct is contrary to section 3(2) of Ontario Regulation 7/00 (now repealed) and section 439 of the Act. The proposal includes an administrative penalty of CAD 10,000 against Belinska and a compliance order against both HFC and Belinska. HFC and Belinska have requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal regarding the proposal.
