Estonia’s Financial Supervision Authority (Finantsinspektsioon) has started a new regular statistical release that will publish quarterly indicators on households’ use of financial services in Estonia. The release will cover deposits, loans, investments and pension funds, and is intended to support estimates of the financial position of Estonian households and monitoring of changes over time, including potential vulnerability to changes in the environment. The statistics will be compiled from supervisory reporting data submitted by Estonian financial companies and by branches of foreign firms operating in Estonia. Indicators will be published once a quarter, two months after the end of each quarter. Finantsinspektsioon will continue to publish a more detailed review of the financial services market on its website twice a year.
