The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten has announced a survey of the construction sector in both Curaçao and Sint Maarten to support its economic analysis, with results to be incorporated into the CBCS Economic Bulletin. The survey, developed with assistance from the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will collect information on business performance, the broader economic environment, and expectations for the coming months. The CBCS positions the exercise as a way to track construction-sector developments relevant to economic activity, investment trends, and business sentiment, and notes it follows a manufacturing sector survey launched in 2024 to provide a benchmark for comparison. The CBCS will email a survey link in Papiamentu, Dutch, and English to construction companies on 19 August 2025. The questionnaire is expected to take about ten minutes, responses will be anonymous, and firms are asked to respond by 1 September 2025.
