The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its president, Roberto E. Silva, spoke at the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) seminar on supervisory and regulatory challenges, presenting a detailed overview of the regulatory framework the CNV has enacted and is developing on PSAVs and tokenisation in Argentina. Silva framed the CNV’s rules as a novel approach and positioned Argentina as a regional leader, encouraging other jurisdictions working on their own frameworks to draw on the CNV’s experience. The regional event took place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, and was aimed at executives and technical staff from regulatory bodies, securities market supervisors, and economy and finance ministries. Other panels covered cybersecurity, operational resilience, regulation and supervision of fintech activities, open finance and cryptoassets, with participants exchanging experiences through presentations, roundtables and colloquia.
