The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) published analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of January 2025. The information is released monthly through the International Monetary Fund’s Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity under the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). The HKMA also set out its monthly publication cycle for Exchange Fund data, comprising four press releases: three SDDS releases covering international reserves, analytical accounts of the central bank, and the reserves and liquidity template, plus a separate release on the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account. For February 2025, releases were scheduled for 7 February (latest foreign currency reserve assets figures) and 14 February (analytical accounts of the Exchange Fund), both marked as issued, and for 28 February (SDDS reserves and liquidity template) and 28 February (Exchange Fund abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account).
