The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority received eight applications for director general by the Oct. 5 deadline. The applicants are Jyri Helenius, Antti Jussila, Aleksi Kaihari, Tero Kurenmaa, Eero Mertsola, Arto Nummela, Devendra Shinde and Pranav Variava. The FIN-FSA Board will propose a candidate to the Parliamentary Supervisory Council for appointment. The director general oversees the efficient organization of the authority’s work and participates in European supervisory and regulatory activities with the European Central Bank and the European Supervisory Authorities.
