The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) convened a Party committee meeting chaired by Party Secretary and Chairman Wu Qing to convey the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and National Supervisory Commission’s decision to place Wang Huimin under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and law. The CSRC Party committee endorsed the decision and linked it to stricter implementation of full and rigorous Party governance across the CSRC system. The meeting instructed Party committees at all levels to draw lessons from the case, strengthen political discipline and Party-building, and tighten accountability for anti-corruption responsibilities. It called for sustained high-pressure enforcement against corruption, stronger joint checks on misconduct and corruption, study and education on compliance with the central “eight-point” rules, and more rigorous cadre management and supervision, including routine reminders and use of the “four forms” of supervision and discipline. Staff were also urged to align conduct with the central decision while carrying out responsibilities related to market stability, capital market reform and capital markets supervision.
