The Securities and Exchange Board of India, in partnership with the National Institute of Securities Market, has launched the National Financial Literacy Quiz 2025, a nationwide programme aimed at strengthening financial literacy and securities market knowledge among undergraduate and postgraduate students. The quiz attracted 477,489 student registrations. The preliminary online college round ran from 1 December 2024 to 30 April 2025, with 234,036 students participating and 167,623 qualifying for the regional rounds. Regional rounds have already been held in the Eastern zone in Kolkata on 21–22 June 2025, involving 60 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate institutes from West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, and in the Southern zone in Bengaluru on 5–6 July 2025, involving 50 undergraduate and 60 postgraduate institutes from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. Remaining regional rounds are scheduled for the North zone in the National Capital Region on 26–27 July 2025, the Central zone in Indore on 16–17 August 2025, the North East zone in Guwahati on 30–31 August 2025, and the West zone in Ahmedabad on 13–14 September 2025. The top 10 colleges from each zone will progress to the national round at the NISM campus in Patalganga, Maharashtra on 8–9 November 2025.
