The Central Bank of the Bahamas issued a public notice announcing four in-person Counterfeit Detection Workshops to raise public awareness and strengthen cash handlers’ ability to identify counterfeit banknotes. The sessions will cover the key security features of Bahamian banknotes, common counterfeit indicators, and best practices for handling and verifying cash transactions. Workshops are scheduled for New Providence on 11 November 2025 at the Central Bank of the Bahamas (Burnside Meeting Room) and for Grand Bahama on 12 November 2025 at the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (Meeting Room), with two sessions on each date from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Participation is free and open to the public, with registration required by 4 November 2025.
