The Bank of Thailand reported that it and the Monetary Authority of Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation on cybersecurity and the prevention of digital financial fraud. The signing took place alongside the 31st Executives’ Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks Governors' Meeting in Singapore, where regional central bank governors discussed economic and financial developments amid ongoing uncertainty. The meeting brought together the 11 member central banks of the East Asia-Pacific Central Banks group. Discussions also covered the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy and financial system, as well as stronger regional cooperation to address digital fraud and scams linked to rapid technological change.
