The Central Bank of Jordan concluded a specialist workshop with the MENA FinTech Association on the regulatory and operational development of open finance, stablecoins and digital assets. Held with the participation of the Jordan Securities Commission, the workshop supported work toward a regulatory environment that enables financial innovation while protecting investors and financial stability. Discussions covered priorities for implementing Jordan’s open finance framework and integrating financial institutions and fintech companies. Participants also examined stablecoin regulation and cross-border payment applications, as well as anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing controls, transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics for digital assets. The workshop is expected to form the basis for a series of strategic collaborations and joint pilot projects between the Central Bank of Jordan and the MENA FinTech Association.
