Securities Commission Malaysia obtained leave from the Kuala Lumpur High Court to commence committal proceedings against Tan Bee Geok for breaching a consent judgment arising from an insider information case. Under the September 2020 judgment, Tan agreed not to serve as a director of, or participate in managing, any public listed company or its subsidiaries for five years. The regulator alleges that she breached the order by continuing to act as a director of subsidiaries of a public listed company and remaining actively involved in their management.
