The European Payments Council has initiated a public consultation on proposed change requests for version 2.0 of its VOP scheme rulebook and related documents, as part of its regular change management process for EPC payment-related schemes. The consultation runs from 1 April to 30 June 2026. The VOP scheme rulebook was developed to support payment service providers in meeting new obligations under the EU Instant Payments Regulation, which became effective in October 2025 and amended the Single Euro Payments Area Regulation. Stakeholders are invited to submit feedback using the EPC085-26 response template by email by 30 June 2026 at 18:00 CET, with submissions received after that deadline not considered.
