The Hellenic Capital Market Commission will hold its 2026 Anniversary Symposium in Athens on Sept. 9, bringing together European and international regulators, government officials, investors and financial sector representatives to discuss the future of capital markets and supervision. The agenda will cover market transparency and integrity, investor protection, financial stability and competitiveness, alongside artificial intelligence, securities tokenization, crypto assets and implementation of the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. Discussions will also address international supervisory cooperation and the independence and institutional design of supervisory authorities. The event coincides with the completion of the commission’s Digital Transformation project and will include a review of its institutional history by former chairs.
