The Central Bank of Iceland announced changes to senior management, appointing Sturla Pálsson as Head of the Bank’s Resolution Authority, naming Haukur C. Benediktsson acting Director of the Markets Department, and designating Flóki Halldórsson Acting Director of the Financial Stability Department. Pálsson moves from the Markets Department, which he has led since 2005. Benediktsson takes up the acting Markets role from his position as Director of Financial Stability and previously served as managing director of the Central Bank of Iceland Holding Company (ESÍ) until it was wound up in 2019. Halldórsson transitions from leading the Resolution Authority, a role he has held for the past five years, to act as Director of Financial Stability.
