The Bank of Thailand has partnered with digital network provider AIS to promote cybersecurity awareness and financial threat literacy, aiming to strengthen public self-protection against online scams and cyber threats in Thailand. The programme includes public communications and the production of educational cybersecurity content to be distributed via social media and online learning platforms, focusing on safe digital practices and secure use of financial services. A flagship element is the “CU TU Cyberguard” project, which develops digital and financial threat awareness skills among student groups from Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University so they can act as community ambassadors nationwide, starting with a pilot at Klongyaiwittayakom in Khlong Yai District, Trat Province. The initiative is supported by the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau and the National Cyber Security Agency.
