The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan and UNICEF discussed expanding economic and financial skills training for adolescents and young people, particularly those with physical disabilities. The talks covered potential joint initiatives under the 2026-2030 financial literacy program, including measures to support entrepreneurship and labor market readiness. The proposed cooperation would also seek to strengthen financial inclusion and increase the participation of young people and women in the economy. Tajikistan’s 2022-2026 national financial inclusion strategy and the financial literacy program prioritize access to financial services, digital financial services and consumer protection.
