The National Bank of Serbia reported a new record daily number of transactions in its instant payments system (IPS NBS), with 484,175 payments processed on 15 May 2025 for a total value of RSD 6,197,506,679.03. IPS NBS operates 24/7/365 and enables citizens and businesses to make payments at any time, with funds made available to the payee within seconds. The system has been in operation since 22 October 2018 and the National Bank of Serbia noted that transaction volumes have continued to grow since launch.

IPS NBS, operational since October 2018, facilitates 24/7/365 payments with immediate fund availability, and transaction volumes have consistently increased.
