The Central Bank of Iraq launched Iraq’s Financial Inclusion Week under the slogan “Promoting the inclusion of people of determination and vulnerable groups in the formal financial system”, positioning the programme as part of its efforts to strengthen financial inclusion and raise financial and banking awareness, particularly among groups with lower access to formal financial services. Activities planned for the week include workshops, exhibitions, direct awareness campaigns and field tours to promote financial literacy through bank and financial institution branches across all governorates, alongside events held outside branch locations. Coordination is set to involve the Association of Islamic Banks, the Association of Private Commercial Banks, and two campaigns approved by the Central Bank. The programme runs from 27 April to 5 May 2025.
