Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) awarded the “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” (“Here We Know About Pensions”) seal to Casa Brugal as part of its educational plan to train workers on the benefits of affiliation to the Dominican pension system. The programme combined pension education sessions across Casa Brugal’s corporate offices in Santo Domingo and Santiago and its plants in Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís and Haina (San Cristóbal), alongside personalised user support through SIPEN’s Tu Futuro service centre. Training covered affiliation, old-age and disability insurance, and the role of financial education and formal employment in building retirement savings. SIPEN also presented complementary pension plans as a flexible savings modality that allows additional retirement contributions via electronic payment channels from any internet-connected device, including savings for direct family members; delivery was in-person and virtual, reaching more than 70% of Casa Brugal staff (525 employees).
