The Central Bank of the Philippines launched BSP Mobile, a smartphone app intended to make Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) information and services more accessible to Filipinos and investors through a mobile-first channel. BSP Mobile provides access to key rates and public announcements, a service locator to find BSP offices and coin deposit machines, and consumer complaint filing via the BSP Online Buddy (BOB) chatbot for issues involving BSP-supervised institutions. The in-house developed app complements the BSP website and adds mobile-specific functions such as real-time push notifications, location services, offline access after download, and personalization, alongside an interactive feature highlighting the design and security elements of the 1,000-Piso polymer banknote. The BSP indicated it will continue enhancing the app and plans to add further features and services. The app is available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
