The State Bank of Vietnam held the first meeting of the Executive Committee of its Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term, chaired by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong, as part of implementing an organisational restructuring of the SBV’s internal governance arrangements. The meeting followed an earlier conference announcing the establishment of the SBV Party Committee and the appointment of its Executive Committee, Standing Committee, leadership roles and inspection committee. Participants reviewed and discussed draft documents covering the Executive Committee’s working regulations, the establishment of advisory bodies to support the SBV Party Committee and the functions and tasks of each body, the Party Committee’s work programme, and the allocation of responsibilities among Executive Committee members. Discussion also addressed the roles, powers, working arrangements and working relationships of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, secretary and deputy secretaries, alongside proposed delegation arrangements for handling routine and urgent matters to support administrative procedure reform and avoid operational bottlenecks during the transition. Governor Nguyen Thi Hong instructed the drafting teams to incorporate feedback, seek additional comments from Executive Committee members, finalise the drafts and complete issuance procedures to provide a basis for implementation across the SBV Party Committee.
