The Superintendency of the Securities Market of the Dominican Republic, through its Investor Protection and Education Department, has presented the first edition of the Financial Dictionary: In Good Dominican, an educational publication designed to explain core financial and securities market concepts in clear, accessible language. The initiative is intended to improve financial education, reduce barriers created by technical terminology and support more informed decision-making. The publication was introduced during the Santiago Invierte: Tu Norte Financiero event in Santiago, which brought together more than 1,000 participants interested in investment opportunities in the Dominican Republic. The first edition explains concepts such as risk aversion, risk rating, brokerage accounts, performance fees, diversification and dividends using practical examples and language adapted to Dominican culture and everyday usage.
