The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) has launched the first phase of the OIC InsurTech Award 2025 roadshow, aimed at building insurtech knowledge and skills and surfacing practical insurance-technology innovations across students, insurance industry personnel, tech firms, startups and the wider public. Phase 1 visited leading universities in Bangkok and surrounding areas, covering insurance basics, the insurance business cycle, and the use of technology in insurance. The programme included a session on “Insurance Value Chain: Transforming Insurance with Technology” and workshops on innovation ideation, pitch deck preparation, and business model canvases, with more than 500 students participating. A second phase of the roadshow is being prepared to expand awareness and innovation support nationwide, particularly among youth and educational institutions. Submissions for the OIC InsurTech Award 2025 competition are open until 30 June 2025.
