The Central Bank of Taiwan published July 2026 interbank call loan and commercial paper market data, showing increased trading activity across both markets. Interbank call loan turnover rose 14.24% from June to TWD 2,898.9 billion, while short-term bills turnover increased 15.75% to TWD 6,346 billion, including TWD 5,829.9 billion in commercial paper transactions. The weighted average overnight call loan rate edged up 0.001 percentage points to 0.824%, and the daily average outstanding balance increased 7.4% to TWD 551.3 billion. In the commercial paper market, the preliminary average rate for paper maturing in one to 30 days fell 0.08 percentage points to 1.87% in the primary market but rose 0.14 percentage points to 1.68% in the secondary market. Outstanding commercial paper declined 0.5% to TWD 4,073.2 billion at the end of July.
