The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) announced a 16–17 October 2025 event in Njedengwa, Dodoma to launch its 2024 Insurance Market Performance Report alongside the inauguration of its new headquarters building, TIRA BIMA HOUSE. The report is positioned as a sector-wide snapshot covering insurance market growth statistics, the number of service providers and new insurance products, as well as trends, challenges and opportunities to expand access to insurance. It also describes the insurance sector’s relationship with national economic growth, including its role in protecting capital and supporting jobs and social welfare, and is framed as supporting transparency and accountability for government, stakeholders and the public while informing improvements to policies and regulations affecting the financial sector. The new BIMA HOUSE building is presented as a central hub for coordinating insurance supervisory activities, intended to modernise TIRA’s working environment and bring services closer to citizens.
