The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) and Mercury have announced a strategic joint venture, Unitey Business Services, to support the CBUAE’s Financial Infrastructure Transformation (FIT) programme and enhance the operation of the UAE’s national financial market infrastructure. The venture is positioned to raise efficiency, resiliency and business continuity across the country’s financial market systems and platforms, combining the CBUAE’s strategic direction with Mercury’s payments infrastructure technology and services. The initiative is framed as a public-private partnership intended to preserve national sovereignty over critical financial systems, while advancing digital transformation and supporting financial inclusion across the UAE.
