The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) has created a Working Group (GT), approved by its Risk Management Committee (CGR), to conduct a technical analysis of information related to Grupo Master, REAG and other connected entities within the CVM’s legal remit. The initiative sits within the CVM’s regular governance and risk management framework and is intended to continue the committee’s monitoring of the matter based on existing institutional records. In its preliminary review, the CGR examined information on supervisory, inspection and prosecution activity, including the opening of proceedings over recent years, communications to other public bodies and the internal status of related inquiries. The GT will consolidate and systematise relevant facts, processes and information, and will assess potential structural improvements in regulation, supervision, procedural governance and institutional cooperation where applicable. Work is due to start on 9 February 2026 and is expected to be completed within up to three weeks, after which the GT will produce a report for CGR consideration and decision.
