The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) published an update on its proactive outreach in Nakhon Ratchasima, delivering a Road Show programme to strengthen insurance knowledge and build awareness of insurance fraud among students, SMEs and the wider public. The event took place at Surathampitak School, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 12 November 2025. The programme covered basic insurance principles, the OIC’s role, and policyholder rights and benefits under laws governing non-life insurance, life insurance and motor vehicle victim protection, alongside practical examples of using insurance for everyday risk management (including life, health, accident, fire and motor insurance). It also explained behaviours that may constitute insurance fraud, the potential impact on premium levels and system efficiency, and the OIC’s ongoing legal supervision, control and inspection activities, supported by interactive learning tools such as scratch-card games and Kahoot-based quizzes. The release also highlighted the OIC’s channels for handling complaints and claim disputes, including review by OIC officials, mediation by external mediators and arbitration by OIC-registered arbitrators.
