Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF), in partnership with the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS) and the Mexican Association of Pension Fund Administrators (AMAFORE), held a Financial Health Forum under the theme “It is time for women. Together towards financial freedom”, positioning women’s financial wellbeing as a pillar of autonomy. The event also presented the Sáasil badge to financial institutions recognised for developing products with a gender perspective. The forum brought together public and private sector leaders including Bank of Mexico Governor Victoria Rodríguez Ceja and senior representatives from Mexico’s Ministry of Finance and financial institutions, alongside expert sessions on women’s personal finance, behavioural science and financial decision-making. Sáasil recognition went to Banco Azteca for “Somos”, HSBC for “Mujeres al Mundo”, MetLife Mexico for “Te Quiero Segura”, and Seguros Monterrey New York Life for “Vida Mujer”, alongside a panel discussion on financial empowerment featuring speakers from government, academia and the private sector. CONDUSEF closed the event by reiterating its focus on financial education and tools to support women’s participation in the formal financial system.
