The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) opened the Second Meeting of its Fourth Staff Council for 2025 in Dar es Salaam, where Insurance Commissioner Dr. Baghayo Saqware urged staff to maintain professionalism, accountability and transparency to support the development of the insurance sector. He also emphasised customer service standards and internal cooperation as foundations for organisational efficiency. The meeting brings together Staff Council members from TIRA’s zonal offices to discuss and approve the budget and other matters related to the authority’s performance. Alongside budget deliberations, the programme includes training sessions aimed at strengthening staff skills and capacity to execute their roles more effectively. The session is scheduled to run for two days, from 30 January to 31 January 2025.
